DDSCAT contains VTRCONVERT converter from DDSCAT file format to VTK format. This allows to plot target shapes, composition, and near field intensity using public domain three dimensional graphical packages such as Paraview or Mayavi2.

Periodic particles

Light scattering by periodic repetition of basic target (TUC) can be simulated within DDSCAT including shapes such as infinite cylinder, infinite hexagonals prisms, etc. One can also simulate targets such as cylindrical plates placed on slab and other shapes used in nano technology studies.
